Using our amazing collection of original negatives and transparencies from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, including original negatives from the very popular Toco Publications Spick, Span and Beautiful Britons, we are able to produce a wide range of CDs/DVDs. Original collectors are thrilled to find us, as the many compliments we receive testify. Click to see what our customers say Nostalgia Publications, a small family run memorabilia and publishing company, was established in the year 1983 in the beautiful city of York, the centre and one time capital of England. In the years since we started we have gained many, many friends and customers from all over the globe yet we have still maintained that very personal touch that can only be achieved by a small and dedicated team with one aim; that of putting the customer first, producing good quality publications and photographs and offering a first class service, now we are able to put all this expertise into the galleries. Timing’ is an all important variable when starting a new company and we are very happy to say that in this instance our ‘timing’ was well placed. We have been truly amazed at the media interest Nostalgia Publications has generated over the past few years, and are constantly and happily surprised to find articles appearing in long established publications singing the praises of our service and also our publications. It has been a great source of delight to receive letters from people rediscovering the pin-up idols of their youth, stirring up all kinds of memories of years gone by. True Nostalgia! Always willing to share our knowledge of the glamour scene of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, it appears we have become a well respected source of information and are regularly contacted by various people, including radio and television, requiring information on different models, photographers etc. We have even been requested to supply original material to be used in background settings for stage and television productions. As well as our own publications, using original negatives from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, we have comprehensive illustrated leaflets of sought after memorabilia covering hardbacks, calendars, glossy magazines, small pocket magazines, photographs etc. all depicting those lovely pin-up girls from that era. In fact a famous London auctioneers, list Nostalgia Publications York as the people to contact for no longer wanted, or inherited collections of glamour memorabilia. A word about the very popular Beautiful Britons, Spick & Span and 66 titles which were all produced during the 50’s to the early 70’s by Town and Country Publications. They have probably become the most well known titles amongst the many “pocket sized” publications that were available from this era, and also one of the most collectable. The fact that they were produced on a regular basis, with each edition having a number and a date, all combine to the attraction of these beautifully produced little magazines. Although the early editions featured a well known glamour figure from the stage or screen, this was soon replaced by what they became famous for, the typical “girl next door”, a type of girl that all males could identify with. Looking through the pages of these editions, they appear to be incredibly innocent compared with the explicit glossies available today.
