June Palmer History

June Palmer was born on the 1st August 1940, her parents little knowing the impact that in later years she was to make on the male population, both at home and abroad. With such a fabulous figure, hair and face, she was the stuff boys and men dreamt of, her pin-up poses adorning many a wall and locker door, the magazines she featured in safely tucked under a pillow or inside a drawer to be carefully removed in private.

Becoming probably the most famous Harrison Marks model June is still gaining new fans from all corners of the globe as well as delighting her original admirers who are thrilled to discover new publications (featuring original negatives) entirely devoted to her.

Although June Palmer was often associated with George Harrison Marks, there was another partnership less well known. That of June and Arthur Howell, the man who both discovered and married her. They were together for about ten years and together ran ‘Strobe Studio’, Clapham, London.

The collection of poses featured here are a stunning example of that partnership. Arthur Howell was and is a very accomplished photographer and a fascinating and charming man who in his own right has lead an exciting and very varied career. His acting roles in films included, amongst others, Michael Caine’s stand in, and as a professional stunt man he appeared in all the famous James Bond films including Goldfinger and Dr. No. He was a familiar face in television making many appearances in the hit series Robin Hood and The Persuaders. An all round very talented artist as anyone can see from this super personal collection of photographs.

Corsica, we are told, and various other Meditteranean locations were used as the setting for what comes across as a quite unique assortment of poses. she radiates health and happiness as she poses for her husband. A perfect situation for using body oil which, as you are all aware, accentuates her curves and splendour to perfection.....Nude and oiled for the privacy of their villa, topless and nude as June Palmer sits on the beach, draped in open negligee as she sits on the villa steps, bikini clad for the beach bar, nude as June Palmer stands in the sea. Wonderful.

Be warned, this collection of stunning original photographs featured in ‘June Palmer On Holiday’ could prove to be expensive! The atmosphere that she and photographer have created has such a vivid impact that you are inclined to book the next flight out and rent a villa in some hot and sunny location. (Keep this one hidden from wives and girlfriends!)

Also known as June Power birhday August 1st 1993 53 years old at that time. Married Arthur Howell aged about 78 in 1993 now divorced, she married again and is still married as at 2000.

Sadly Arthur died in August 2003

and June died very suddenly in January 2004

A brief history of Upskirts at Toco

All the Toco upskirt magazines were all produced during the 50’s 60’s and early 70’s with an abundance of upskirts pictures by Town and Country Publications.

They have probably become the most well known upskirts titles amongst the many “pocket sized” upskirts publications that were available from this era, and also one of the most collectable of the many upskirt magazines. The fact that they were produced on a regular basis, with each upskirts edition having a number and a date, all combine to the attraction of these beautifully produced little upskirts magazines.

Although the early editions featured a well known glamour figure from the stage or screen in upskirts, this was soon replaced by what they became famous for, the typical “girl next door”, a type of girl in upskirts that alll males could identify with.

Looking through the pages of these editions, they appear to be incredibly innocent compared with the explicit glossies available today. Again, another reason why they are now so collectable.

Vicki Kennedy Vicky Kennedy History a.k.a. Margaret Nolan

Born in 1944 of Irish parents and raised in Hampstead, London. She was in part discovered by Lawrence Davis (this could have been Roger Davis) and Harrison Marks. Changing her name to Vicki Kennedy she quickly found work as a model although her figure was far too curvaceous for fashion. Harrison Marks was already established as the top glamour photographer in the country and through his publications Vicki Kennedy, along with June Palmer and Pamela Green, became very popular the world over.

Vicky, with her fantastic 41.24.36 figure, her blue eyes, blonde hair and pouting lips was the perfect fantasy in the magical Harrison Marks formula.

Harrison Marks made a series of super 8 films which Margaret starred in, and along with appearances in such magazines as Parade she became much sought after for her glamour work. During the making of “Some Like It Cool”, in which Vicky had a small part, she was spotted and given another small part in the famous Beatles film “A Hard Day’s Night”. This in turn lead to her getting the role in the opening and closing sequences in the Bond movie “Goldfinger”, a complicated process which took four months to film. She also took the part of Bonds girlfriend Dink. The films producers offered her a two year contract as the “golden girl”, but she declined the offer in favour of other acting opportunities. She got so much publicity from the bond film that she worked through until the late 60’s taking roles in films such as “Don’t Lower the Bridge, Raise the River”, “Saturday Night Out”, “Tomorrow”, “White Savage” and lots more. In Europe she gained publicity at the Cannes film festival by appearing in soft core sex comedies. Back in England she became even more well known for her appearances in the Carry On films of which she appeared in nine. Vicky enjoyed the Carry On series as they were simple to make and usually only took one take. Taking to the stage she appeared in four West End dramas and also continued her screen career with appearances in the popular TV productions “The Sweeny”and “Last of the Summer Wine”.

She retired in 1983 and lives a less hectic lifestyle on a farm in Spain.

Our thanks to Neil Kendal for the above information.

Eds. note. Now back in England with her own very stunning website.

Paula Page History

The Americans went wild over 48" Virginia ' Ding Dong' Bell but English breast men never quite got over the sensational Paula Page known affectionately in the trade as 'Two Guns Paula'. Never before or since has a model claimed so much attention due to the incredible size of her breasts.

It was inevitable that during the decade of breast fascination and bountiful blonde bombshell that Paula would rise to pin-up Queen stardom. Which, much to her own dismay , she did.

Paula was born in Shropshire in the late 1930's and studied to be a typist at school. Her first professional job was as a van driver, which she dutifully relayed to George Harrison Marks whilst driving to a location for a shoot. " George dear, you must always drive as though you have an invalid in the back" ! Harrison Marks took her advice.

Paula first took to nude modelling when she realised how much attention her 44DD 23 36 figure attracted. "Well, she quipped to her musician boyfriend " I may as well make the most of these while they are hanging around" !

Having attracted a big, big following for her Strip Lingerie Poses in Frills, Six, Carnival and Fiesta she contacted Harrison Marks studio on Gerrard Street.

Pamela Green picks up the story........

"We had heard of Paula. I recall George Harrison Marks staring at her picture and shouting " Cor that will sell".

She was a quiet, sweet girl and very friendly too. She would come and stay over at our house. Men loved women with a bit of meat on them. Paula was so skinny with these enormous breasts and big boobs always sold well."

By 1959 Paula had moved with her boyfriend to Hampstead and though she had no real wish to become a full time model the legend of her breasts had placed her as a hot commodity as "The very biggest of the big girls".

Pamela and Paula became good friends. Paula was really very pretty and dyed her hair blonde to give herself a Marilyn Monroe look, but her breasts caused her a lot of embarresment

Paula became popular in American features and appeared in hundreds of magazines being voted by Knave as Miss Fantastic 1959. She also appeared in Nightcap, Chic, Honey, Sparkle and 40 plus magazines in the sixties.

But by this time Paula was scaling down her appearances and working exclusively for the Harrison Marks studio on Gerrard Street. Eventually Paula became a secretary there before moving to the West Country to become a caretaker in a Country Mansion.

During her reign as a pin-up bosom Queen Paula Page made over 1,000 magazine appearances which are still run and re run today. Her movies are still eagerly collected and appear follows, Striptease Blonde, All In A Days Work, Peachy Paula 1958, Presenting Paula Page, Bookworm, Making Hay, Model Mechanics, Nautical Nudes, Strip N Clean, For Those Who Think Big, Miss Stockholm 1962, Britains 44 plus Girl 1963.

Today Paula is a legend. As Roger Davies recalls " Out of a parade of big breasted girls Paula had the distinction of being the biggest. A girl and a bust to remember, which I do". Thanks to Neil Kendal for the above.

A wonderful world of beautiful 50’s, 60’s and 70’s "girl next door" type of glamour.
